Nestled in the world-renowned Bal Harbour Shops, Red Market Miami is a luxury salon built on a blend of French-inspired elegance and modern technique. Precision cutting, hand-painted balayage, color correction and treatment work — done the way they are done in Paris, adapted to the salt, sun and pace of Miami.
The founders
Red Market Miami was founded by Jean Marc Durante and Reynald Ricard, two French hairdressers who brought their craft from France to the United States in the 1990s.
Reynald made New York City his home, opening Red Market in the Meatpacking District. Born in Lyon and trained with Jacques Dessange in Paris and New York, Jean Marc settled in Miami, where he launched and ran JMD Salon at Bal Harbour Shops — earning a reputation as the city's go-to stylist.
In 2009, Jean Marc and Reynald combined their talents and their networks to create what is now Red Market Miami. They keep the craft current the same way they built it: with frequent trips back to Paris for new technique and new ideas.

The team is the story
Ask either founder what Red Market is, and the answer is the same: the artists. The salon is built by bringing together stylists and colorists from around the world, so that every guest is matched with someone whose specialism actually fits what they came in for.
Miami's fusion of international trendsetters is part of that. It pushes the team to keep moving — to stay on the edge of what color and cutting can do rather than repeating a house look on everyone who sits down.
