Hair Color in Miami

Every colour service on our menu, with the price next to it. Miami salons are famously vague about what colour costs — this page is the opposite of that.

What each service actually is

SINGLE PROCESS ($150) is one colour applied all over — the standard for covering grey, going darker, or refreshing a faded shade. INOA single process ($160) is the same service in an ammonia-free formula. Root melt ($95) blurs the line between your regrowth and your length so it grows out softer.

BALAYAGE is hand-painted, no foils: $225 for a face frame, $250 partial, $395 full head. FOIL HIGHLIGHTS are packed and processed in foil for a brighter, more uniform lift: $250 face frame, $375 partial, $495 full head. Foilyage ($495) combines the two — painted placement, foil processing.

DOUBLE PROCESS ($350) lifts and then tones, for a shade your natural hair cannot reach in one step. GLOSS or TONER ($95) is the finishing layer that sets tone and shine; after a colour service it is $55.

Which one you actually want

If your grey is showing and you want it gone, that is single process. If you want to look like you spent the summer somewhere, that is balayage. If you want it noticeably brighter and more uniform, that is foils. If your colour has gone brassy but the placement is fine, that is a gloss and nothing more — do not let anyone sell you a full service for a toning problem.

This is exactly what the complimentary consultation is for. Bring photos, be honest about your budget and how often you can realistically come back, and the colourist will tell you which of the above you need — including when the answer is the cheaper one.

Colour that survives Miami

Salt, chlorine and unrelenting sun are hard on colour in a way they are not in most cities. We build that into the formula and into the aftercare rather than pretending it away. Protein Renewal Treatment for Blondes ($150) and K18 molecular repair are on the treatment menu for exactly this reason, and your colourist will tell you which take-home products actually matter and which do not.

Frequently asked

How much is hair color in Miami?

At Red Market Miami: single process $150, INOA ammonia-free single process $160, balayage $225–$395, foil highlights $250–$495, foilyage $495, double process $350, gloss or toner $95 ($55 after a colour service), root melt $95, colour correction $595.

What is the difference between balayage and highlights?

Balayage is painted on by hand with no foils, so the lift is softer and grows out without a hard line — it looks sun-lightened. Foil highlights are wrapped and processed in foil, which lifts brighter and more uniformly and gives a more finished, deliberate result. Balayage is lower maintenance; foils are higher impact.

How often should I come back for colour?

Single process on grey is usually every four to six weeks, because regrowth shows at the root. Balayage is typically three to four months, because it is painted to grow out. A gloss between appointments ($95) will keep the tone from going brassy in Miami sun.

Do you do ammonia-free colour?

Yes — INOA single process is $160. It is the formula we recommend for sensitive scalps, during pregnancy where your doctor is comfortable with it, and for clients colouring frequently.
